We research, develop and deploy advanced IT and network communication solutions and services tailored to customer’s needs. An opportunity has arisen for a Leading Technical Officer to join the Maintenance & Deployment team within Managed Services. Your primary objectives will be to supervise technical field employees, perform installation and fault rectification of our client’s ICT equipment and be a point of escalation. In this hands-on role, your responsibilities will include: • Provide supervision of technical employees and contractors during and installation and fault finding of systems • Perform installation & fault rectification, and provide support to other technicians with difficult problems • Ensure incidents are resolved as soon as possible with minimal business impact and ensure that SLAs are achieved • Ensure NEC employees follow OHS and customer requirements • Assist to identify customer requirements as part of the development of customer designs • Provide quality assurance for new installations and cabling to ensure compliance to required standards • Monitor and highlight training or induction requirements, or OHS issues • Work with various stakeholders to compile customer requirements to assist in the solution development and design configuration • Develop resource plans and scheduling for installation or upgrades • Highlight out of scope works • Provide support to the Operations Manager during peak workloads or absences This opportunity will see you working in a professional team environment, with a range of stakeholders including the client’s representatives, Account Managers, Engineers/ Technical Officers, Channel Partners, etc. The successful candidate should possess an Advanced Diploma in Electronics and Communications Engineering or the equivalent, along with relevant voice/data industry certification including CCNA and current ASA Cabling licence. In addition, you must have proven expertise gained in a field technician role related to PABX systems, Voice, VOIP, IT applications and network installation and administration. Along with your proven technical expertise, you will be able to the ability to oversee technical service delivery, coupled with professional communication skills and time management skills. You will be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships, and have a commitment to providing superior customer service. Other pre requisites include a current drivers licence, ability to be part of an On Call roster, and due to the nature of our clients, you must be willing to obtain and maintain applicable Police/ Security clearance.
