Life Safety Engineer
Title: Life Safety Engineer
Location: USA-New Mexico, Albuquerque

Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, installation, testing, integration, commissioning, maintenance, and trouble shooting of various Life Safety Systems (including fire alarm, annunciation, toxic gas/liquid leak detection, and SCADA systems) in semiconductor manufacturing plants, office buildings, and support structures. Responsibilities include overall system effectiveness and reliability, capacity management, initial and continuous system redesign, and budget analysis. Responsibilities also include development and documentation of maintenance procedures and databases. The individual must lead and work with other engineers and technicians to execute operational enhancements and respond to customer requests or events.

Facilities - Refers to all fab, sort, C4 and die prep factory facilities systems including but not limited to Bulk Chemical Delivery, Electrical, Specialty Gas Systems, Instrumentation and Controls, Liquid Industrial Waste, Mechanical and Ultrapure Water Systems.

Services - Refers to all the support services including but not limited to Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, Building Services and Site Planning.

This position is for a recent college graduate.
Required:
You must possess a minimum 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and completed a Masters of Science Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer or System Instrument Control Engineering preferred)
- 1 Yr knowledge of NFPA and other applicable codes
- 1 Yr experience with hardware and software such as: Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems, Cimplicity, Edwards EST fire alarm systems and Honeywell Analytics gas detection equipment
- 1 Yr experience in negotiating and resolving conflicts within all levels of the organization to a win/win solution.
- 1 Yr of demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control
- Unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship

Preferred:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team
- Ability to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees; engineering peers to operational technicians to management
- Values safety for yourself and others around you
- Demonstrated application of sound engineering principles
- Background with facilities equipment and control systems in the Semiconductor industry
- Database design and management
