    Overview:

    Overview of Position:

    Engineer B is responsible for all phases of innovation projects related to the store equipment package and supporting products to include, but not limited to design, detail drawing and BOM structure.

    Responsibilities:

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Equipment process innovation in support of a store of the future concept
    • Complete projects through all phases: concept design, detail and BOM structure.
    • Create new innovative store equipment layouts with information regarding necessary utility drops for architects & contractors.
    • Create electronic drawing file for all items, purchased and manufactured.
    • Create production manuals with all necessary information for manufacturing.
    • Compile bid packages for vendors with BOMs and AutoCAD drawings.
    • Lead the R & D equipment innovation initiatives and provide technical support to Field Service, Equipment Mfg, Construction and other functional areas as required.
    • Maintain current and accurate BOMs, drawings and specifications to support all products and manufacturing processes, working closely with shop supervisor and cell leaders.
    • Design, prototype and release for manufacture new equipment designs based on corporate initiatives and directives.
    • Improve the quality, reliability, and functionality of existing equipment through design upgrades based on feedback from internal and external customers.
    • Maintain current and accurate Technical and Operators Manuals.
    • Work closely with Purchasing & Production Control on cost reductions without compromising quality.

    Qualifications:

    Essential skills and Experience:
    • Creative and innovative thinking.
    • Passion and drive for continuous innovative improvements.
    • Minimum 2 years experience using AutoCAD and Inventor.
    • Four-year engineering degree or two-year technical degree with machine design experience.
    • Minimum 2-4 years mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the equipment manufacturing industry.
    • Must be customer and quality focused with very good communication and human relations skills.
    • Must be motivated and work well in a team environment with limited direct supervision.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, completing assignments accurately and on time.
    • Flexibility to meet travel requirements.
    • Experience in Electro-mechanical design, gas combustion design, and/or electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
    • PC skills required.
    • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
