Linux Validation Engineer
Title: Linux Validation Engineer Location: India-India, Bangalore
In this position you will be validating (white box and black box), integrating and building Linux code developed by Systems Engineers. Your responsibilities will include validating system software on periodic basis and report bugs to the development team. You should be able to understand Linux kernel internals and functioning of various system level functionalities. You should be capable of articulating bugs and issues with development team and have hands on experience in using Bug Tracking tools. Ability to automate tests will be an added advantage. Hands on experience in submitting your contributions to Linux Open Source community is a big plus. You should possess Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Electronics and Communications with five to eight years of experience. Other qualifications include:
- Solid Validation skills, ability to debug and integrate - Use of debugging, and build tools (any open source tools) - Automation scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python - Understands OS internals and Kernel functionalities - Hands on C and / or C Programming skills is an added advantage - Ability to understand Requirements and Design documents into Test Cases - Good understanding of full software development life cycle from Requirement to Sustenance. - Ability to work across various teams, domains, GEOS and lead junior team members - Strong analytical and communication skills is a must
