Initial responsibilities for the Logistics Engineer will be to perform procurement, contracts, provisioning, inventory, transportation and storage. Position will lead into responsibilities for planning, implementing, and controlling the acquisition, storage, and distribution of supplies and spares for multiple locations. Understanding of GOLD or SAP warehousing and parts tracking database a plus. Inputs, tracks, and maintains database info. Assists in assuring inventory sufficiency with respect to mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems. Controls the asset position of customer inventories. Responds to customer service inquiries; supports requests for proposals and provisioning determinations; understands and uses various inventory tracking software; interfaces with information management systems; ensures accuracy of asset identification. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. Work may be done at customer site. Includes software systems and programs designed for customers (corporate and individual) and government entities. Must be able to lift 40 lbs unassisted.



Basic Qualifications: Candidate must have 12 years of Supply/Logistics experience; must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Undergraduate degree is desirable. Candidate must have a current DoD clearance (Top Secret desired), and be willing to submit to polygraph. Additionally, the ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of EVMS a plus.
