Title: Mainframe Application Developer - Toronto , Ontario Location: ONTARIO-TORONTO * Provide support for Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) for Mainframe Applications. * Experience in performing Incident management activities to ensure service quality and performance levels including Adaptive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Perfective Maintenance, Processing Support, Testing Scoping/Estimating, Minor Enhancements, Major Enhancements, Functional Support, Audit Support, Security Compliance and Risk Assessment, Logging and Monitoring, Application Disaster Recovery, impact analysis, process improvements and root cause analysis. * Service delivery and service level responsibility utilizing ITIL framework. * Responsible for continuous improvement and productivity gains over the years. * Implement and utilize support tools and methodologies and integrate with other teams to provide support services to client. * Excellent understanding of industry best practices, processes and methodologies. The processes and tools needs to be deployed and used for Service Delivery. * Application Development and Maintenance in the Mainframe Environment and unique skill set to manage the 24* 7 Global Support Model. * Experience in supporting Mission Critical applications in a complex legacy environment with multiple technologies. * Excellent Communication Skills with customers and other team members. * Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. * 5 years experience with the following Main Frame related skills - IMS DB/DC, DB2 , VSAM, COBOL, FOCUS, ENDEAVOR, PANVALET, XPEDITOR, REXX, ISPF/PDF, CA-Verify * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred) * Four or more years of programming or testing experience * Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software * Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software Other Qualifications * Programming skills * Good personal computer and business solutions software skills * Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs * Ability to work as part of team and independently * Interpersonal skills to interact with team members * Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients
