IBM has announced that we will open a new technology service delivery center in Columbia, Missouri, creating up to 800 jobs and providing high-value information technology services to IBM customers. The new service center will provide maintenance and monitoring of computer hardware and systems to IBM's business clients in the United States. This Technical Delivery Services Center will primarily support US Strategic outsourcing clients, providing server systems operations, security services, and end user services, including maintenance and monitoring of computer hardware and software systems. IBM's Technical Delivery Services Center is focused on increasing delivery quality and brings together all IBM worldwide service delivery capabilities for Strategic Outsourcing.


* ** This position is located onsite in Columbia, MO. Relocation MAY be considered in rare cases and in those rare cases would only be considered for our key skills and higher level roles BUT no remote work is available for these roles.***

IBM is seeking Mainframe Configuration Management Technical Support Specialists. This job performs mainframe configuration management. MVS Base and HCD experience is a must. This role performs installs, moves, adds and changes, as well as performing problem determination, maintenance and repairs as needed. 24x7 on-call coverage needed and changes may need to be performed off-shift/weekend.

Key skills include:
Working Knowledge of HCD (Hardware Configuration Definition)
Mainframe Background (SYSPGM, RACF, TSO, OPS, HMC)
EPCT Knowledge
Understanding of Mainframe Hardware Concepts and Operation
Mainframe (MVS VM) Systems Problem Determination Skills
Knowledge of Change / Problem Management
Some knowledge of MVS Commands
Some knowledge of JES2/JES3 Commands
Minimal Knowledge of JCL Helpful

Required

* High School Diploma/GED
* At least 4 years experience in Hardware Configuration Definition
* At least 4 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
* At least 4 years experience in mainframe background
* At least 4 years experience in MVS commands
* English: Fluent

Preferred

* Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology
* At least 5 years experience in Hardware Configuration Definition
* At least 5 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
* At least 5 years experience in mainframe background
* At least 5 years experience in MVS commands
