Primary Job Responsibilities

The Site Analytics group is responsible for delivering business insights and high impact analyses to the North American eBay.com business. Within this group, teams partner with business unit clients to address strategic and operational questions facing the business including user behavior, supply and demand dynamics, performance measurement, and product and marketing efficiency.

We are currently looking for a seasoned database analyst to join the team. There will be a specific focus on analytics in eBay's user experience on mobile platforms, such as iPhone/iPad/Android/RIM apps as well trends and behaviors among mobile buyers and sellers. This individual will support the team and partner with the other members in the mobile analytics team to address the needs of the Business Owner, Product Management, Marketing, Finance and other related stakeholders. In the process, this person will develop a deep understanding of eBay Marketplaces and mobile evolution, further strengthen their analytic, leadership and business skills, gain exposure to a wide variety of functional teams within eBay, and be part of a dynamic growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:

* Manage analysis for eBay Mobile, Buyer and Seller relationships

* Collaborate with team members to determine analytic criteria and push the value in analysis by leveraging their knowledge of the eBay database and business structure

* Design, plan, prioritize and execute analysis per project specifications

* Compile analysis from other analytic teams and eBay site properties to help build comprehensive analytical view of the user experience

* Drive fact based insights o support eBay Mobile’s growth and overall eBay user experience

* Provide general Site Analytics support when needed

Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide ad hoc analytic to help drive growth

* Quick learner, understand the general business in e-Commerce industry

* Experienced in owning analytics

* Great sense with numbers, tables, charts, trend recognition

* Actively engage with other data streams, such as CLV and CRM to synthesize analytic conclusions

* Ability to generate insights and view deliverables primarily in terms of business impact

Ability to extract insights from large and diversified data/results
Education Masters Degree or Equivalent
