Manager Practice Management EHR Category: Information Technology Facility: Physician Services LLC Department: EHR Practice Management Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day Shift Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Job Details: Job Summary: Responsible for project planning, leadership, and management for the enterprise ambulatory Practice Management (PM) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) application. Maintains software certification and leads teams to derive cross functional business strategy solutions to support business and clinical functions. Oversees team in establishing and conducting structure pre and post live application optimization. Identifies workflow improvements and opportunities and resolves issues to maximize effective use of the systems and applications. Ensures systems wide adherence and governance of the PM/EHR application across all specialties. Ability to translate visionary concepts into well defined, documented technical requirements and present solutions with cost analysis to management and governance teams. Collaborates with IT to ensure Health Information Exchange (HIE) scope and interfaces meets the business and clinical needs of physician practices. This position requires the ability to communicate with various stakeholders and leaders in the Ambulatory outpatient operations in order to meet requirements in the clinical care delivery setting, revenue cycle management and IT. Ability to work with and coordinate efforts with multiple departments in order to support HIE and an enterprise master patient index (EMPI) across all required systems to support PM/EHR requirements. Manages clinical and business analysts who support the PM/EHR application.
Knowledge and Skills Required: Prior in-depth knowledge of ambulatory /outpatient practice management and electronic medical records governance required Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical business needs and processes within health care organizations Experience in and knowledge of managing multiple work streams Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems required. Excellent leadership, communication and facilitation skills including interpersonal, written and verbal required Excellent organizational skills required
Education and Experience Required: BA in Finance or computer science 5+ years of technology health care PM/EHR experience required Minimum 3 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including vendor packaging systems implementation or relevant work experience, including at least 2 years implementing and/or supporting healthcare software applications.
