City / Ville Mississauga Province Ontario [ON] Title / Titre Manager - Software Licensing Job ID 11918 Position Overview / Vue d'ensemble du poste The Manager, Software Licensing is responsible for leading a team of software licensing specialists who liaise with Client Executives and directly with clients to identify client requirements for software, provide expertise in their field, and collaborate with both internal and external resources to propose the best solutions, deliver a superior customer experience, and maximize sales and profitability Responsibilities / Responsabilités 1. Manage a team of Software Licensing Specialists with national responsibilities, and collaborate with sales and consulting team members to maximize software related sales and profits. 2. Collaborate with the Director, Software to establish individual and group performance objectives, and contribute to the preparation of the software business plan. 3. Coach and effectively manage the performance of licensing associates and collaborate with the sales team to achieve software related sales and gross profit objectives. 4. Assign areas of responsibility for the Software Licensing team and manage distribution of workloads to optimize productivity. 5. Develop and nurture influential relationship with key software vendors and partners. 6. Develop, and maintain positive and productive business relationships with sales and service delivery teams,. 7. Schedule vendor training where applicable. 8. Effectively manage issues that could have a negative impact on customer satisfaction, employee morale, or financial performance, and escalate as required. 9. Assist with the preparation of proposals and responses to RFPs. 10. Establish an organizational climate conducive to recruiting and attracting talent, maximizing employee potential and productivity, and retaining key personnel. 11. Foster a performance oriented culture, and drive accountability amongst associates to optimize decision-making, customer satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness and efficiency. 12. Ensure that all work adheres to the highest performance standards. 13. Implement a succession plan to strengthen the organization and minimize the risks associated with attrition of key performers. 14. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements / Exigences . University degree is desirable . Minimum 5 years managerial experience, including experience in inside sales or sales. . Excellent understanding of the information and communications technology industry. . Excellent understanding of software licensing programs . Effective planning and organizational skills. . Exceptional attention to, and management of details . Effective analytical and problem solving skills . Excellent interpersonal skills, with emphasis on listening, verbal and written communication capabilities (English and French). . Proven ability to communicate and interact effectively with both internal and external customers, including all levels of management . Excellent presentation skills . Proficiency in MS Office tools - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint . Outstanding work ethic
