Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. As a part of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, 777 Organization, this position ensures the implementation of the lean manufacturing Boeing Production System by overseeing activities such as constructing reduced flow bar charts, organizing and developing, specifying, designing and constructing new job kits (parts, tools, standards, materials, consumables, etc.), proposing and implementing feeder line work packages, integrating with Design and Tooling Engineering to introduce lean enablers including standard work and breakthrough designs, interfacing with Global Partners to align supplier quality and delivery performance to the production system, achieving cost reduction goals to align supplier quality and delivery performance to the production system, achieving cost reduction goals to sustain the cost competitiveness of the 777 airplane. Interviewing, selecting, developing and training new Team Leaders. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the overall build process. Must be able to lead peers and teams in workshops and meetings for Lean improvements, Employee Involvement, 9-tactics and Staffing. Maintain a high level of leadership attributes while leading the organization through change, maintaining and developing plans which support organizational and program goals. Must be flexible to change, have an ability to multitask and a basic understanding of business plans. Must be willing and able to rotate between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. Position could be located anywhere in 777 Manufacturing. Demonstrate all Boeing leadership attributes: charts the course, sets high expectations, inspires others, finds a way, lives the Boeing values and delivers results. Two years demonstrated leadership preferred.
