Job Description Siemens Industry, Inc. is currently searching for a Materials Handler to support our Water Technologies Business Unit located in Rochester, PA. The Materials Handler position will involve general warehouse assignments to include, but not limited to, moving product into appropriate slotting within the warehouse and plant. This position will be responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, identifying, picking, packing and shipping products, materials, tools, supplies, equipment and parts. Additional responsibilities of this position include:
*Re-bagging and packaging of carbon products and materials, and assisting in light tank/drum manufacturing assembly as required *Performs duties to load, unload and move raw material, finished parts and supplies within the plant *Operates one or more types of company vehicles according to established safety procedures *Verifies truck contents to ensure conformance with shipping documents *Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices, or instruction *Seeks advice and guidance on non routine or problem areas from manager *Maintains neat and orderly work areas and observe safety rules and practices
The qualifications the ideal candidate will have include:
*Must have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school *Must have at least 1-2 years experience in a similar position *Must be able to: stand/move (8 hours); lift objects (max. 70 lbs.); work in bending or kneeling position occasionally; pull, push, roll moving objects with approved equipment (max. 300 lbs.) *Must be able to handle equipment, instruments and hand tools; *Must have experience operating powered forklift trucks, powered hand trucks, electric pallet jack, and 2-wheel dolly and hand jacks *Computer skills preferred
