Boeing is seeking an entry-level chemical engineer to provide technical expertise and support to Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) power system technology development. Successful candidate will support technical leadership in the development of highly efficient power systems incorporating solid oxide fuel cell stacks and steam reformers and utilizing the high heat and mass transport achievable in microchannel devices to maximize performance. The position will involve conducting process engineering calculations, modeling, implementing hardware design, development, fabrication, and testing of microchannel technology, including establishment of functional design requirements and implementation of modern design practices. The successful candidate will contribute to writing proposals for developing business and managing projects and tasks. He/she will participate in inter-disciplinary engineering and scientific project teams, under the direction of senior staff and will also interact with clients. The candidate will be expected to prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations and effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences. Occasional travel to customer and subcontractor sites may be required.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Other Job related information
Experience and/or academic studies in power system control is desirable. Experience in balance-of-plant and system integration is also desirable. Experience working with both Federal funding agencies and industry is desirable.
