Overview:
We're looking for a strong leader that will shape Baxter's strategy in the areas of web and collaboration. By leading a broad group (from IT, marketing, and communications) to develop a shared global vision, the IT Web Presence Manager will help Baxter leverage new tools, deliver important capabilities, and drive business change. Disruptive forces - social media, tablet interfaces, and dynamic global collaboration - require new strategies and the new IT Web Presence Manager will lead Baxter into these important evolving domains.

Summary:
The IT Web Presence Manager is a key leader on the Baxter Global Functions IT team. The manager is responsible for leading a task force of individuals from the IT, marketing, and communications departments with a shared goal of aligning and delivering IT resources to marketing and communications requirements. The position will manage the organization's Web infrastructure, resources, budget, and drive innovation opportunities to deliver on the business team's requirements and requests. Taking into account disruptive changes like mobile devices and social media, the manager will work with business leaders, architects, developers, vendors, content owners, and end users to develop and maintain a consistent vision and strategy across the global enterprise.
Job Requirements
Lead a focused web technology team (5-7 individuals within Corporate IT) in the delivery of services to a broad audience at Baxter. Own key business relationships, manage commitments, supervise delivery projects, and deliver a stable, scalable, managed service. Details:
• Provide leadership in the area of web and collaboration - be the single point of contact for the organization in this domain
• Gather and understand business objectives and strategies - the manager should have proven skills in leading collaborative and virtual teams, communicating with a global audience, and building consensus among stakeholders. The ability to foster understanding and reach agreement among the group overshadows having expertise in a particular technology or marketing domain.
• Manage relationships and provide strategic partnership to key customers like Corporate Communications, Human Resources, and federated web services teams embedded in Baxter's business and regions
Qualifications:
• Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills -strong analytical, communication, interpersonal skills absolutely required
• Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills
• Comfortable working in the 'gap' between technology and the business needs driving technology - providing strategy and guidance in both directions
• Strong background in established and emerging technologies
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business related field
• 5+ years experience leading a services team in an environment similar to Baxter's in size and complexity
• 3+ years experience developing web based solutions across multiple platforms
