Title: MicroFocus Cobol Developer Skills: Microfocus Cobol,SQL-Server,Java,J2EE,Broadridge Date: 8-25-2010 Description: JOB OVERVIEW Our Investment Banking client in Mid-town New York City has an 8 month consulting opportunity for a Microfocus COBOL Programmer/Analyst/Developer. RESPONSIBILITIES The Microfocus Cobol Developer will be part of a Broadridge/Smartloan interface. Provide production support and work on small change requests and enhancement efforts on some of initiatives. Support business growth by allowing primary dealer implementation. Migrate clearance and settlement operations for equities and equity derivatives from BETA to BPS . Migrate other Fixed Income business from Calypso to IMPACT. Outsource Clearance and Settlement operations for Equities and Fixed Income. Together with project BA and other technical resources, develop technical specifications of interfaces / interface modifications between SmartLoan & Broadridge. Follow technical specifications to develop software programs for integration of BPSA with SmartLoan. Develop Unit Test plans (from technical point of view) along with expected results for developed programs. Microfocus Cobol Developer will participate in technical conversion effort needed to adopt SmartLoan application to Broadridge system. Development & testing of new interfaces with Broadridge and all required changes to SmartLoan are to be completed. Any other needed adjustment to existing SmartLoan overnight batch processes are to be developed and tested. If required, development of new interfaces with Loanet for Positions, Recalls and LAMS are to be developed and tested.
