Microsoft SQL Server DBA
The Microsoft SQL Server DBA is responsible for maintaining Microsoft SQL Server instances throughout the enterprise. They are responsible for operational support, performance tuning and disaster recovery for high visibility applications and data warehouses that utilize SQL Server. They follow best practices and are involved in defining and enhancing processes related to Microsoft SQL Server
Qualifications/Work Experience
•Experience with Microsoft T-SQL is required, MDX experience preferred. •Experience with Subversion, Business Intelligence Development Studio, SQL Server Management Studio and BIDS. •Experience with administering multiple versions of SQL Server including 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 •Experience with administering SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Server and the SQL Server Relational Database •Experience in designing disk layouts for database, virtual machine and SAN experience preferred. •Experience in performance analysis and implementation of performance improvements using the Database Engine Tuning Advisor and the SQL Server Profiler.
