Microstrategy Developer
Title: MicroStrategy Developer Skills: MicroStrategy, SQL Server Date: 8-23-2010 Description: Title: MicroStrategy Developer Location: Eagan, MN Duration: Contract to hire Position Overview: MicroStrategy Developer is responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for development using the MicroStrategy suite of products. The MicroStrategy Developer will partner with Product Development to analyze business intelligence requirements and identify innovative methods for delivering business intelligence solutions. Responsibilities: *Provide technical leadership and guidance for MicroStrategy team members *Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions for ongoing development projects and make recommendations for development strategy and database modifications if needed *Design and build dynamic and static dashboards and advanced reports in MicroStrategy with the potential for using the following: public objects, custom groups, consolidations, complex filters, prompts, metrics, grids and report services documents *Design and develop Narrowcast services to meet customer report delivery requirements *Make recommendations for best practices as they relate to the design, development and deployment of MicroStrategy projects *Mentor and support MicroStrategy developers *Provide feedback for Team Manger as development plans are established for MicroStrategy developers *Interact regularly with QA, and internal development peers *Perform unit testing, code reviews and documentation for developed code Qualifications: *4+ years of hands-on development experience using MicroStrategy products (report and dashboard development) *Experience in MicroStrategy Version 8 or higher *Four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field *Knowledge of MicroStrategy Architect functions *Knowledge of MicroStrategy Narrowcast server and Object Manager tool *MicroStrategy Administrator experience a plus *Experience with Web SDK a plus *Experience writing SQL and Stored Procedures and work with SQL server databases *Self-motivated with a flexible positive attitude. *Strong problem solving skills If your skills are a good match for this position, please email your resume to COMSYS IT Partners, Inc.
