Operational Lead: MS Exchange Administrator
The Messaging Lead is responsible for the day-to-day administration, operation, and support of Project Simon’s enterprise messaging infrastructure including Exchange mail and public folders, edge compliance and security systems, as well as legacy SMTP systems. This person must be a deep and broad hands-on Exchange expert as well as a strategic thinker responsible for building, organizing, and managing a team of internal and/or vendor resources that provides IT service management functions including incident, request, change, problem, and risk management.
Role responsibilities
1. Provide high quality infrastructure services across customers
a. Service Delivery
i. Define and structure basic services in accordance with business needs and priorities
ii. Create and ensure/enforce service levels and service offerings for incident support
iii. Create and ensure/enforce service levels and service offerings for requests
iv. Create and ensure/enforce standard processes, policies and procedures for:
1. Infrastructure support, including resolution of Tier 3 incidents
2. Problem management
3. Documentation
4. Sustaining engineering of infrastructure offerings
b. Problem Management
i. Diagnose, resolve and communicate problems
c. Tier 3 incident management
i. Resolution of Tier 3 incidents as a hands-on expert
2. Increase resource effectiveness
a. Manage day-to-day performance of the Messaging team
b. Adhere to and promote all BW management and cultural principles and practices
c. Deliver and report on metrics to assess capacity of Operations services and adherence to service levels
d. Envision/deliver change processes, policies and procedures
e. Ensure Operations team members are adequately trained on new technologies, processes and procedures
3. Mitigate risks to the service and ensure service availability
a. Assess, communicate and ensure prioritized mitigation of operational risks to the service
b. Assess Maintain / administer and report on service and team capacity

Comments / Other Skills This position is for an infrastructure lead with deep technical experience installing, adminstering, and running a full exchange environment. The candidate must have storng leadership and conceptual thinking skills. Must be very deep technically in Exchange - able to trouble shoot, undersntad the architecture, be both hands on with Exchange and a leader. The candidate should NOT be someone who has only done Exchange 'projects' such as upgrading Exchange or rollong out Exchange. They must have experience acutally running Exchange.
Position is likely to be long term so a candidate local to CT would be preferred
