Primary Job Responsibilities
Candidates will be responsible for understanding eBay/PayPal''s business drivers, primarily on projects, in order to help support and enhance existing applications.
Applicants will be expected to weigh technology strategies against business needs, taking into account existing Finance systems: SAP R/3, SAP BW, Ariba, Longview Khalix, etc. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Working with key business users to understand their business requirements and integrate them into the existing eBay systems platform, including SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Ariba Purchasing, Oracle databases, and third-party systems
• Working with key business users to understand business drivers and needs for eBay''s G&A organizations
• Gathering requirements from eBay business units and documenting system design specifications based on those requirements. Be able to translate those requirements into software application requirements, if needed.
• Contribute to project estimating efforts - providing input/clarity on business requirements and options to implement those requirements.
• Work with other IT resources and business personnel to accurately estimate PDLC efforts and design software UI such that it adheres to standards and supports the desired processes.
• Work with eBay business units to develop a technology roadmap and strategy based on business needs and industry standards. Be able to articulate the strategy, taking into account business benefits and limitations.
• Help validate and refine the project design to ensure that it continues to satisfy business requirements.
• Identify and diagnose data quality or system deficiency issues and provide options for resolution.
• Help prepare/lead training and information sessions for end users.
• Manage own workload, accurately estimate effort for tasks, and work with business users on priorities/goals, and work towards meeting those goals.
• Work with users and technical developers on creating robust test plans/conditions.
• Work in a team environment, and at times, taking direction from more senior personnel on the team.
• Develop in depth functional knowledge of existing and potentially new software applications
Job Requirements
- A proven functional professional, with at least two full lifecycle SAP R/3 implementations AND 10 years of large-scale SAP implementation experience
- A proven resource in defining SAP reporting systems strategy, developing systems requirements, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. - Strong knowledge of SAP reporting tools, such as BEx Query Designer, BEx, Query Analyzer, Business Objects Reporting Suite, and SAP BI Portal
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Adept at designing and implementing technology-enabled business solutions as part of a high performance team.
- Able to collaborate with end users and have a strong desire to excel.
- Strong interpersonal, team building skills and customer facing experience
- Ability to think logically and analyze application and business process requirements and accurately convert them to design specifications.
- Strong problem solving and issue resolution experience is a must- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Finance
