Job Description  

Supports the design, development, and maintenance of educational materials, programs, and equipment. Includes print design, e-learning development, audio-visual presentations, online performance aids, and other multimedia training.  Utilizes communication, education, creativity, and technical skills to produce and support technology-enhanced learning experiences for adult learners.

Job Essentials:

• Utilizes communication skills to accurately understand the education needs and goals of others.

• Supports the selection of learning strategies, implementation methods and evaluation methods that engage employees and promote meaningful learning.

• Develops educational materials, media and related project documentation using writing, graphic design, branding, image editing, document formatting, animation, video, audio, e-learning authoring, web, portal and assessment develop skills and tools.

• Manages time, resources and priorities to meet quality standards, project timelines, and learning outcomes.

• Utilizes communication, technical and reporting skills to promote, implement and track online materials using a learning management system and related websites technologies.

• Provides support for existing educational materials, courses, equipment, classrooms, websites and systems as directed.  

• Participates in projects with other members of the Intermountain University community to promote learning across the organization .

Minimum Requirements

• One or more years experience in audio-visual, multimedia, web or e-learning development
• Strong interpersonal, creative, problem solving and team collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop educational materials
• Experience facilitating self-directed education for adult learners
• Excellent verbal and writing skills
• Ability to understand technical information and work with enterprise systems
• Ability to meet project goals, quality standards and timelines
• Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail, reporting, image editing, web and e-learning authoring tools

Physical Requirements

• Hearing / Listening, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Speaking

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Multimedia/Web/Graphic Design, Instructional Design, Education, English, Communication, Business or Human Resources (Training/IS emphasis) obtained through an accredited institution
• Two or more years experience in audio-visual, multimedia, web and e-learning development for adult learners
• One or more years experience in the use of Flash, Photoshop/Fireworks, Captivate, Articulate or other e-learning authoring tools
• Experience with non-linear video editing, post production software
• Previous work experience in healthcare
• Ability to present or facilitate classroom training
