A member of our Technical Services Division, located in Suffolk, VA, has an opportunity for a
Network Communications Lifecycle Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Work as a member of a Northrop Grumman TS team supporting the JOSE Logistical program. The Lifecycle Management Analyst maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. Provide input for implementation of logistics support for software and hardware purchases and pricing. Assist the government customer in developing long range plans for phase replacement of hardware and software components. Provide maintenance planning support for government IT equipment. Assist the in providing lifecycle sustainment plans for government IT equipment. Provide analysis of replacement costs against scheduled maintenance actions.
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Five (5) years experience with IT lifecycle management required
• Requires previous working experience in operating a database system
• Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required to support events and exercises
• Requires a minimum of fourteen (14) yrs experience with a B.S. or nineteen (19) yrs w/o a degree
• Must have excellent knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office; including PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel
• Must have at least ten (10) years experience with networks, computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and active U.S. Secret level security clearance to be selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Experience with government equipment life cycle management is a plus.
• Experience serving at, or working directly with JFCOM is highly desirable.
• Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) is preferred.
