Day to Day Work Coordinates and monitors sensitive aspects of the DoD, DoN, or other industrial security program and other security activities, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Develops and implements security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel. Monitors and conducts security briefings and security education programs. Investigates or oversees the investigation of losses and security violations, and recommends corrective actions. Maintains liaison with outside agencies and informs management of security activities. Develops and coordinates security policy and procedures manual revisions. May perform day to day systems security administration tasks such as Firewall administration, Configuration, Installation, Deployments, Monitoring, Tuning, Operations, Management, and/or Intrusion detection. Demonstrated skills: Experience (6 years) with Microsoft Windows and VMWare Operating System Security in related IA compliance requirements from a hardening perspective within DoD and DoN IT infrastructures. Must have experience with Microsoft SQL and Oracle Database Security in support of Information Assurance compliance within a DoD/DoN IT infrastructure (5 years). Must have an understanding of and experience with the DoD and DON IA policy, DoD IA Implementation (DoD 8500.2), DON DIACAP Handbook, and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DoDI 8510.01). Must have current experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Check Lists, Gold Disk (Windows), and Security Readiness Review (SRR -scripts) for UNIX. Must have relevant hands on experience with Windows operating systems (W2K, W2K3, XP, W2K8, Vista). Must have experience (4 years) troubleshooting, assessing, resolving, and providing technical guidance for IT security incidents. Must have some knowledge and experience with one of the following database management systems: Oracle, Sybase, or SQL. Experience (4 years) with RETINA (or other scanning tools). Technical & Behavioral Skills IA Certification Requirement: Must have CCSIP, SCNA, CISA, or GSE Certification Must have one of the following: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP-SA MCITP_EA or MCP Desired skills: ITIL v3 Foundation certified. MSCE certification. Knowledge of MSC's IA policy, COMSCINST 5239.3b and DON DIACAP Handbook. Possess other security, operating system, or IA-enabled device certification. EDUCATION: None Specified by government. U.S. citizens required Clearance: Contractor personnel in IT-II positions must have completed a successful background investigation and have a Secret clearance.
