BMCC seeks a Network Engineer to ensure the operability, stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services in a Microsoft Windows Operating System environment and to design and implement the local area networks, wide area networks, and network systems that will meet the current and future needs of the college. The Network Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing an institutional protocol for documenting the configuration of Information Technology systems.
Position is open until sufficient applications are received. The first screening will be conducted September 20, 2010.
Salary: $60,632 to $71,344
Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering and at least five years of work experience as a Network Administrator in a medium- or a large-size enterprise is required; equivalent education and/or work experience will be considered
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is required; alternative certification(s) and/or work experience will be considered
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
