Location Afghanistan Job Description and Requirements: USfalcon recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to work out of various OCONUS lcations including Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Mexico, Bolivia, Columbia, Guatemala.
This posiiton is contingent upon award of contract.
Requirements: - A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of experience or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 15 years of experience or a Masters Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of experience. - Final SECRET security clearance. - MIcrosof Certified Professional (MCP).
Travel: - Services shall be performed in OCONUS locations, to include combat theaters. Preferred Qualifications: - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook). Duties: - Perform a combination of technical support activities in the areas of product and technical applications to include: - Design, verify, and provide technical expertise that addresses the business needs of our clients. - Identify and resolve all issues related to internet/intranet and extranet. - Act as the point of consultation and escalation to debug issues of increasing levels of complexity. - Manage assignments efficiently while resolving time-critical situations reliably and professionally. - Utilize test equipment and our customer support network to stimulate and resolve customer network issues. - Accurately and completely document problems and solutions on case notes and reports to vendors. - Utilize on-going knowledge of available products to resolve customer issues. - Design and complete design reviews as needed in support of Implementation or the Installation team. - Apply working knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP. - Apply working knowledge of network routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and BGP. - Apply working knowledge of Cisco or Nortel switch/router configuration. - Installing, maintaining, testing, debugging, configuring, and integrating all data networking systems and equipment. - Act as the Network focal point for design of scalable, supportable, highly available local-area and intranet/internet network designs to be deployed in the data center campuses. - Lead projects to standardize & enhance the LAN supportability & maintainability. - Investigate & deploy new LAN networking technologies, as appropriate, to address the connectivity & performance requirements including the performance of network oversight. - Ensure that all end equipment is running within operational parameters. - Under general supervision, plans, conduct and may supervise assignments. - May train junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work - Review progress with management. Support to include: 1. Internet 2. Intranet 3. Email 4. Voice over IP (VoIP) 5. Data 6. Blackberry Enterprise 7. Land mobile radio (LMR) 8. VHF and UHF radio systems 9. Application and Database hosting 10. IT and Customer support 11. Information assurance services. 12. Satellite Services 13. Terrestrial Internet Services - Additional duties as assigned.
