Description
Job Summary This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all local area networks.
Essential Functions 1. Install and maintain all network hardware and software, coordinating installation and maintenance by vendors as needed. 2. Evaluate network hardware and software requirements and make recommendations for changes and enhancements. 3. Perform network backup according to designated schedule. 4. Prepare and maintain documentation of all network configurations. 5. Coordinate training and education for all network users. 6. Add and maintain all users on the network, assigning appropriate application access and ensuring appropriate security. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve all network and user related problems. 8. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and security. 9. Develop and implement policies and procedures for disaster recovery of information and telecommunications systems.
Required Skills and Knowledge 1. Advanced computer skills, including the use of windows, email, and Microsoft office. 2. Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation. 3. Advanced knowledge of network operations and maintenance. 4. Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN’S including relevant software applications. 5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees. 6. Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents. 7. Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 3+ years related experience. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
