Desired skills MCITP or a RHCSA (Red hat Certified Systems Administrator) although not specifically required, would be desired.
Specific Job Description The principal functions of this position include but are not limited to: Proactively maintain server and service health of networks; build both physical and virtual server platforms to meet business requirements; upgrade or create new domains; maintain VMware hosts and guests within the virtual services environment; perform system-wide backups and recover vital data for customer personnel as needed; manage exchange and other collaborative office systems both internally and those hosted off-site including BlackBerry, Good Technology and other related services; create/modify Active Directory (AD) configurations such as GPOs; maintain security controls on all networks via best practices/programs/ACLs; perform patching of all servers to maintain compliance based on DoD/DoN IAVA regulations.; effectively troubleshoot daily operational technical issues and document such issues and solutions to said issues; as well as performing all other aspects of system administration on all networks.
Standard Job Description Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
