Numerical Control Programmer 3
Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience; Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and Producibility; Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work. Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment; Provides expertise in numerical control, machining, programming and Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in support of new and ongoing projects; Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and Producibility; Plans and guides the development and integration of machining techniques, manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment to support the design, manufacture and inspection of parts and assemblies; Identifies equipment and approaches, coordinates and assigns work and trains/mentors others; Works under minimal direction; A working knowledge of CATIA V5 NC programming is required; Experience in pre-cure composites NC Programming (flat pattern, nesting, ply cutting, laser projection ,and automated tape layup machines processes) is a plus; Experience in robotics programming is a plus; Experience with Composites Workbench, ENOVIA, Fibersim, Trunest, Composite Buildup And Laminate Tool (COBALT), COBALT2 and/or Metrolog is a plus.

Technical• Computer Aided Tools Knowledge
Able to apply a complete understanding of computer aided tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive data.) (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, compare measurement data, create stereo lithography files.
• Data Configuration Mgmt
Complete knowledge of configuration management principles and processes to maintain the integrity of data (e.g., revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems) and numerically controlled media.
• Machine Control Data (MCD)
Complete ability to utilize or create source geometry for generation of Machine Control Data (MCD). Ability to verify MCD and create documentation to support manufacturing processes.

Typical Education/Experience
AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information
These positions will support the new Advanced Developmental Composites team located in Tukwila or Auburn, WA. The assignments are in support of test, development and initial production start up through production hardening and transition into the supply chain for a variety of new and emerging composites components. Most work is in support of new airplane projects or derivatives.
