Position Requirements:
The INetU Operations Engineering team is a new but growing part of the organization. Tasked with creating the systems that support our clients, their first assignment was to create a custom built centralized backup solution (no small feat).
Within Client Services there are numerous opportunities for a software developer to help make everyone’s life easier. Sometimes it involves fixing or enhancing a legacy system, sometimes it involves building something completely new. The person in this role must have the willingness and ability to jump into other people’s code and patch bugs, make enhancements and generally figure out what the heck’s going on, often with little to no documentation.
If you consider yourself a LAMP hacker who enjoys ill formed problems, you’ll fit in perfectly. You’ll work mostly with PHP and MySQL on Red Hat, but expect to encounter FreeBSD, Perl, Java and possibly even some on Windows.
You should have a healthy respect for the SDLC and be able explain to others why it’s a good thing.
