Duties: You will serve as an Operations Research Analyst for assessment of Train the Force (TtF) Initiatives. This will entail evaluation of training initiatives for all Service branches involved in the counter-IED (C-IED) fight, providing information supporting rapid acquisition decisions.
Methodologies range from the assessment of the impact of a single training initiative to the integration of training programs in support of joint operations. You will be responsible to develop innovative methodologies for evaluating the effectiveness of TtF initiatives by providing input to test and experiment designs and surveys, determining measures of effectiveness, applying risk analysis, analyzing empirical, subjective, and survey data, and obtaining objective data for acquisition decisions, studies, system comparisons, analytic models and war games.
About the Position: This position is located in the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). JIEDDO is the DoD focal point for all efforts in the Department of Defense to defeat Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) as a weapon of strategic effect. You will perform a variety of coordinating and analytical functions in support of the Joint IED Defeat Organization.

* Basic Requirement: A degree in operations research; or at least
24
semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Specialized Experience: In addition to the basic requirements, candidates for this position must identify in their resume that they possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, that provided:
Mastery of and skill in applying broad areas of classical and modern advanced actuarial science, operations research, mathematics, and statistics sufficient to receive recognition as an authority in a particular specialty as they directly relate to the duties of the position.
* GS-12 and above: Bachelor's degree directly related to this
occupation and 1 year of experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the next lower grade level.
