Oracle Database Administrator Country Kuwait Work Location Kuwait Job Description Oracle Data Base Administrator shall develop applications software for small to highly-complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems, as well as be responsible for developing graphical and web browser user interfaces. 1. Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system. 2. Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance. 3. To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. 4.Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management. 5. Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate. 6. Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades. 7. Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development. team Servers Workstations Security Appliances Working environment will be 80% indoor, 20% outside. The outside work environment will also be very hot due to conditions within the region. Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. Required Experience: DoD 8570 IAT III level Baseline certification and one of the following CE requirements: A+; ITIL Expert Level; ITIL Foundation; ITIL Intermediate Level; ITIL Master Qualification; MCITP; MCP; MCPD; MCTS; Oracle Certified DBA Desired Skills: Proven Oracle Database Administration experience. Experience of managing multiple RDBMS on large systems. Oracle Certification, preferably OCP Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be able to work rotating shift schedules which provide 24 hour day/7 day week coverage.Experience of managing multiple RDBMS on large systems.
