Role Overview
Our Fortune 500 Client is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to provide day-to-day support and maintenance for Oracle Databases and maintenance and support of the corporate applications platform.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
· Monitoring different databases, addressing the alerts and taking necessary steps
· Investigate potential problems and issues raised by users
· Performance tuning of SQLs
· Setting up & fine tune database backups
Requirements:

· Have solid Oracle 10g knowledge
· Have solid working knowldege to support very large databases with heavy OLTP and batch activities
· Have expertise in performance monitoring & tuning
· Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
· Able to work effectively in high pressure situations
· Able to work independently, to develop tools for database monitoring and maintanence.
· Having strong Unix scripting (Shell/Perl) knowledge
Preferences
· Working knowledge in DB2, SQL Server & MYSQL is a plus
· Knowledge in Goldengate replication and other replication tools is a plus
