The candidate will perform systems engineering and standard Oracle database administration and Unix system administration tasks for Oracle 10g and RedHat Linux based operating systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing fully redundant mission critical Oracle database solutions including hardware selection, system architecture, relational database design, performance tuning and backup & recovery plans.
The selected applicant will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field, a minimum 8 years in the setup and administration of Oracle databases, experience with setting up redundancy and failover with Oracle Data Guard, be able to design relational databases, and be proficient in PL/SQL. Experience with semantic data storage a plus. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate government security clearance.
