Job Location: Gaithersburg, MD
While this position is located in Gaithersburg MD, qualified candidates may office out of another DRS Defense Solutions location dependent upon experience level.
Title:Oracle R12 Applications DeveloperPosition Summary: Oracle Applications developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, coding, implementation and modification of Oracle applications R12 and software products. The purpose of this position is also to lead a team of developers to design programming solutions to complex business issues and to support data conversions and other support requests of Reports and Interfaces within the various business units of DRS Defense Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work with Functional Oracle Analyst to gather and define requirements and specifications in response to user requests.
· Lead the Development tasks with ability to mentor, review, and monitor work of other team members.
· Follow required change and configuration management processes.
· Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
· Experience in at least two of these domains: Financials, Supply Chain, Procurement and Self Service HRMS (including OTL)
· Strong Oracle R12 EBS RICE development and support experience with a good exposure to Oracle EBS APIs and Interfaces.
· Collaborate with end-users as well as management.
· Experience with good security practices in application development.
· Ability to use Oracle's recommended methods of customizing the eBusiness Suite application.
· Additional duties include: writing technical specs / documentation, well versed with Oracle's AIM methodology, document user requirements, testing, research Oracle functionality, team with Oracle Support to resolve issues, recommend and test Oracle patches, and troubleshoot production issues. The position will also maintain existing reports, forms and programs to support the current ic Qualifications:
· 6-10 years of experience in development and support of Oracle ERP system.
· Knowledge of software development lifecycle, software quality assurance, source code control and code migration tools.
· Good knowledge of tools like TOAD, Oracle SQLDeveloper, SQL plus.
· Exposure to Version control management system.
· Extensive knowledge of complex SQL & PL/SQL, tuning high cost SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Workflows, BI Publisher, JDeveloper and Oracle Applications Framework.
· Good understanding of Application Object Library, Unix commands and shell scripts.
· Experience working with functional analysts and business users in defining solutions.
· Must be able to work independently but also part of a team in a multi-location environment.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field.
· Experience and Knowledge of Oracle BI Application Tools is a plus.
· Occasional travel is required.
