Dominion Parenting Media (a division of Dominion Enterprises ) is the leader in providing parents with the information resources they need to raise happy and healthy children. We produce eight award winning monthly magazines in markets across the country supported by a host of specialty ancillary publications, local and national websites and numerous web products and services including Bay Area Parent magazine and . Dominion Parenting Media has an immediate need for a part-time graphics & web designer/administrator to add his or her talent to the team. This position is responsible for contributing to design and production on all media we produce including computer graphics, internet ad design, creation and maintenance of email designs/templates, website content and design, web directories and updating our digital publications.This talented designer/administrator should also have some knowledge of print design, social media and designing sales collateral for web and print. We are looking for a positive team member eager to grow their skills in web and social media, take direction and contribute great ideas to our family of parenting offerings both online and in print. Job Requirements: Must have strong working knowledge of all CS4/CS5 products including Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator. Flash is a plus. Applicants without experience in these programs will not be considered. Experience in HTML5 and solid knowledge of CSS and inline CSS is preferred. Must be able to work in a Mac environment. Some previous design experience or training in graphic design is required. Must be flexible and able to work within tight deadlines. Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, adhere to company standards and contribute to new assignments on an ongoing basis. Were looking for a team player with great ideas and the ability to work with all departments of a magazine group including sales, production, editorial and customers. This is an ongoing part-time position offering no more than 28 hours a week. This position does not offer benefits. Schedule may be flexible and determined upon employment.
