OEM drives the pre-installation of Microsoft software on PCs, servers, mobile and consumer electronics devices through a unified, global approach, maximizing Microsoft’s impact across the entire ecosystem.
Summary of Position:
This is a senior Account Management role in OEM, developing and maintaining executive relationships with our key Multi-national partners in Canada. The role is dedicated to generating revenue, driving adoption of our products and increasing Partner Experience. The OEM Partner Account Manager orchestrates resources internal to Microsoft and the Partners to bring opportunities to close.
This role will be responsible for analyzing the market opportunity for the commercial and consumer sectors, develop a deep understanding of the partner’s strategy, identify areas of alignment with Microsoft’s long term goals and turn the analysis into recommendations and actual business results. Consequently this new team member will have revenue responsibility for landing Windows, Office, Windows Server licenses on our partner’s devices.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for driving revenue and joint opportunities with a specific set of OEM partners.
Manage partner relationship, including Executive engagement locally to drive synergy and incremental business opportunities.
Interface and collaborate with local and WW teams to create annual plan defining business opportunity, marketing needs, and local resources. This is applicable for both the commercial and consumer market places.
Experience:
The position requires that the candidate is detail driven, thinks analytically and strategically, is resourceful and understands the device/PC industry and cloud trends thoroughly. The following skills are needed:
Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze market and partner opportunities based on 3rd party and internal data sources
Strong interpersonal skill: ability to interact appropriately and effectively with all levels of management in partner and Microsoft organizations.
Well-rounded business and successful software sales experience.
Strong presentation and communication skills: being able to clearly articulate the results of the analysis and convince key stakeholders from both companies to turn the analysis and strategy into real business opportunity.
Qualifications Recommended:
- Excellent business analysis, communication, planning, presentation, and executive-level sales and relationship skills are essential.
- Knowledge of the OEM business issues and technology solutions preferred.
- Strong experience selling technology products and solutions with or through a partner required.
- 8+ years in sales, marketing, sales management or general business management required.
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field required.
