Project Description: This work is to be conducted for PSS in support of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Payroll, Application, and Integration Division (PAID) of the Office of Executive Director (OED). PAID is responsible for supporting the Management, Application, and Payroll System (MAPS) which includes a PeopleSoft Financials v8.8 and PeopleSoft HRMS v8.3 implementation. PSS is responsible for supporting PAID for all production and end-user support, as well as development and information assurance activities associated with both PeopleSoft implementations. . Job Description: PSS is seeking a PS Admin / Security Analyst to help the PSS support team secure the sensitive data processed within the MAPS applications. The candidate will be responsible for general PS Admin functions such as performance monitoring, troubleshooting, etc. in an outsourced Windows and SQL Server environment. The candidate will coordinate activities with PSS? hosting partner to ensure the timely execution and evaluation of security scans ? as well as the scheduling and application of patches/fixes. The candidate is also responsible for supporting several internal and external audits as well as C&As. Namely, IG audits, A-123 audits, FISCAM audits, PII evaluations, and formal C&As. This support includes anticipating potential system and process vulnerabilities, providing artifacts to auditors, and addressing findings and recommendations. The candidate must be able to propose, document, and shepherd the implementation of (security-related) business processes. The candidate must track and execute, or task others to execute, POA&M activities. The candidate must be able to update project documentation (Contingency Plan, System Security Plan, Software Development Plan, Security Test and Evaluation Plan, etc) to be compliant with prevailing standards such as NIST. The candidate is solely responsible for researching compliance standards, interfacing with technical auditors and support staff ? to determine how to best secure the MAPS application and information. The candidate must interface with external entities and service providers to coordinate the receipt and validation of MOUs, ISAs, IAs, and SAS-70 reports. The candidate is empowered to task technical resources on the MAPS team to develop and implement technical solutions to any findings, recommendations, or other approved initiatives.
