Position Profile: Anixter is seeking to add a PeopleSoft Programmer/Analyst to our corporate headquarter's team inGlenview,IL. This individual will be part of a team that isresponsible for PeopleSoft Financials Systems(General Ledger and Asset Management) and Human Resources Management. Development work focused on the use of PeopleSoft tools for system maintenance, bug fixes, new development, and upgrades. Partner with the business to diagnose and resolve issues. Be part of a 24-hr on-call rotation to support batch environment. High level of customer service is a priority.
Requirements: Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with at least 3 to 5 years of PeopleSoft Financials programming experience including: PeopleTools, Application Engine, PeopleCode, SQR, and Query. Candidates should also have familiarity with the PeopleSoft architecture.
Excellent communication, problem solving, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the operation of PeopleSoft systems with a positive customer-service attitude, working independently, and as a member of the departmental team. Individual should be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Peopletools 8.49 or higher experience a plus. PSFS 9.0 or higher a plus. Familiarity with Oracle Essbase OLAP a plus. Mainframe OS390 background(Batch COBOL, JCL, SCLM) a plus. Object-oriented programming experience a plus. XML programming experience a plus.
