Photo Editor
is looking for a creative, motivated photo editor with digital chops to join its team. The ideal candidate has knowledge of how photo rights work online; an ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment; some familiarity with the ESSENCE brand; a passion for all things celebrity, fashion, and beauty; and a collaborative, creative mindset.
Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing all photos across the site, maintaining its visual aesthetic. * Sourcing celebrity photos daily for the Star Gazing franchise. * Resizing, optimizing, tagging and archiving all celebrity photos. * Working closely with channel editors to source images for the site, and to brainstorm ideas for fun galleries. * Maintaining relationships with photo agencies and publicists to obtain timely, topical and exclusive images. * Overseeing the photo budget. * Monitoring traffic for photo galleries across the site. * Occasionally photographing special events and in-house meet-and-greets.
