PLM Solutions Architect
Key responsibilities: •Development of long-term PLM roadmaps, representing strategic, functional and cost considerations aligned with requirements gathered •Oversee peer and team deliverables (project structure, architecture, development strategy, code review, etc) to ensure quality and functional requirements are met/exceeded. *Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship in all aspects of team and customer throughout PLM system lifecycle. •Design system architectures that rapidly advance R&D systems in support of diverse business challenges while ensuring extensibility, compliance, robust integration, current technology and performance. •Liaise between Project Management, Business Analysts and Development teams in defining tactical solutions that align with PLM technical standards and strategies. •Develop strategic requirements for new configurations and processes in support of a global PLM strategy. •Ensure continuous improvement in the efficacy and efficiency of all related PLM and R&D solutions. •Ensure that all configuration, development and infrastructure cycles adhere to strategic architectural objectives •Engage in customer interfacing for Engineering System analysis, design, implementation, integration, especially in product design data flow, as projects are identified and initially defined. •Responsible for timely project deliverables of multiple concurrent analysis and design of development projects, in accordance with project and development standards. •Solicit customer feedback and apply through developed standards for continuous improvement. •Assist in the design and ensure execution of Project and SDLC methodologies. •Research, recommend and educate staff on emerging and related technologies and their application. •Available for non-business hours support.
Qualifications/Work Experience
•12 years experience in the architecture, design and implementation of PLM solutions with demonstrated capabilities in performing the Solution Architect role in applying PLM technology in solving complex business problems on multiple projects and across multiple sites. •7 yrs System Analysis, Design and Development for Engineering, QA, Mfg solutions using PTC Windchill infrastructure. •5 yrs ProE/Windchill system administration (ProE/Windchill integration knowledge a big plus). •5 yrs Application Development - client/server, Java, engineering applications, especially within an enterprise PLM framework •Expertise in varied PLM implementation and globalization methodologies through experience performing with multiple initial implementations. •Experience providing technical leadership and responsibility of team execution for design, installation, configuration, development and testing of PLM system lifecycle. • Thorough understanding of product development processes •Deep technical knowledge of PLM modules, integration •Demonstrated PLM application design. •Demonstrated Presentation Skills. •Demonstrated Written and Oral Communication skills. •Demonstrated Customer Service and support skills. •Demonstrated knowledge of 21CFR and change control. •Demonstrate knowledge of product data flow. •Demonstrated MS Office Suite skills.
Education and/or Special Training
-Bachelors Degree -Master's Degree preferred or equivalent in Information Technology or Engineering/Mathematics degree preferred.
