The Principal EDI Business Systems Analyst will facilitate the creation and maintenance of high quality solutions to our customers, while supporting a comprehensive enterprise-wide supply chain management strategy for Medtronic. Position Responsibilities
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Job duties and functions)
Analyze current EDI business processes and systems and apply best practices/knowledge to develop process improvements. Demonstrate excellence as a key contact and engagement mechanism for our customers on electronic data interchange solutions and supply chain management. Establish strong working relationships with strategic internal partners such Lean Sigma, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Enterprise Alliance. Data Analysis, including: o Ensuring alignment of customer data across systems o Perform root cause analysis, assess processes and procedures behind poorly performing data areas Lead and/or actively participate on global cross-functional business process improvement project teams and provide technical and business process expertise. Define, research and provide guidance in resolving process and system issues. Proactively identify business needs, define the requirements and business case and create change request documents (CRDs) for new interfaces, reports and/or modification to existing systems, interfaces, reports to meet current and future client needs. Responsible for documentation and testing to ensure high quality solutions are implemented.
Basic Qualifications
9+ years systems analysis experience. 7+ years relevant data analysis / administration 2+ years of project management experience Bachelors Degree OR 8 years of work experience in lieu of a 4 year degree or combination of work and education to equal a 4 year degree. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Strong understanding of supply chain, EDI and ERP Demonstrated history of delivering projects on time with high degree of quality Demonstrated history of strong business process experience Experienced in managing teams acting as an internal or external consultant Comprehensive understanding of complex data and information technology solutions and the ability to apply to client needs Very good understanding of customer master data and how it is used in ERP systems Strong Excel skills

Ability to deal with ambiguity and change Facilitation, consensus building and conflict resolution with peers and management Strong decision making and problem resolution skills Business modeling, process engineering and project management Strong analytical expertise related to data analysis, reporting and business intelligence Experience with or knowledge of business intelligence, customer relationship management and ERP systems Experience with process development improvement. Ability to provide/review multiple solutions and selection of the best solution with the highest process improvement impact Experience with querying tools, (SQL, Business Objects,and Crystal Reports).
