Position Description
Analyze business requirements, operational processes, and data relationships/configurations to sustain operations, align processes across business units/geographies, and develop solutions to complex problems. Communicate with numerous functional areas and define business requirements related to technology. Lead process development and improvement activities.
Position Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and implement new concepts, techniques, and standards that support the strategic objectives of Vigilance Operations. Develop and own scorecards and metrics to manage operations Develop and own reports to trend and identify areas of quality concern or process improvement opportunities. Manage timely and accurate requests for data and reporting for Regulatory Authorities. Work independently with end-users and business partners to assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the applicable processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals. Manage the expectations of the customer (i.e. balance their needs with wants and educate as appropriate). Develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Ensure continued business sponsorship, engagement, and commitment. Create project plans including timelines and milestones and track progress; inspire teamwork and responsibility across project teams; hold teams accountable to schedules, budgets, and scope. Communication planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and administrative closure. Provide detailed functional knowledge and maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied to Medtronic. Serve as a subject matter expert to other Business Partners. Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Direct interaction with business users to identify about data analysis requests. Consult with business on data and analysis capabilities. Work with each of the Vigilance Operations Teams to collect data/information needed. Reviews and evaluates requests to develop or modify reports. Identifies data sources to fulfill report requests Produce functional specification documentation and translate into actionable information for Vigilance Operations. Responsible for standardizing reporting across variety of contexts Demonstrate the ability to understand, share and leverage the databases content and data warehouse structure (multi-dimensional model)
Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED -Bachelors Degree in Information Management, Computer Sciences or equivalent experience -Understanding of software and information technology solutions and ability to apply to client needs
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 6+ yrs Business/Data Analyst experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED -Experience in data modeling disciplines -Strong analytical problem solving skills -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Ability to work collaboratively -Strong process development -Strong interpersonal, interview and facilitation resolution skills -Prioritization skills -Excellent problem solving skills and sound decision making -Ability to assess data modeling designs with business personnel to verify data model captures business functionality -Strong understanding of Data Management, Business Intelligence System Architecture -Strong knowledge of OLAP models (Data warehouse, dashboard, data mart, business objects) and multi-dimensional design -Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging decisions -Masters degree in Computer Science or Business related field -Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification -Knowledge and experience in medical device industry
