Detailed Description


Install, deploy and configure Oracle fusion applications. Install

application on multiple tiers. Provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database

Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services

to application development teams, including

database design, database generation, coding, and database production

support. Provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration

support for production systems and provide DBA services to application

development teams, including database design, database

generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA

support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and

timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of

moderate nature to ensure user productivity.

Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of

new versions of Oracle database and database tools. Act as a team lead

during database implementations and for system operation and

maintenance. Respond to database alerts that are not

resolvable utilizing automated tools or first level support. Manage and

remediate alert log errors. Manage tablespace and perform capacity

planning following documented procedures. Conduct performance tuning

and optimization following documented procedures.

Maintain a highly available database. Maintain all work performed

documentation in Orion ticketing system to ensure that other Engineers

and the Client can see work product. Track all work performed within

the ticketing system. Push database patches and

other upgrades following documented procedures. Manage changes to the

environment using best practices Change Management workflow. Review and

maintain patch database and ensure that applicable patches are applied

or submitted through the Change Management

system. Technology tools utilized include: Real Time Application

Cluster (RAC), Oracle database administration, DB2 database

administration, SQLJ, SQL, PL/SQL, PERL, Shell Scripting, Solaris, SAN,

NAS, ETL Tools, Oracle applicaton server, Oracle deisgner,

and Siebel administration.



Job Requirements


Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,

Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field, followed by five

years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered

or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate

work experience in a computer-related occupation. Employer will

accept education evaluation prepared by a qualified credential

evaluation service. Education or experience to include: Administration

of Oracle database, Siebel database and DB2 database; RAC

and ETL Tools; Siebel Analytics;Programming utilizing SQLJ, SQL, PL/SQL,

PERL and Shell scripting; NAS and SAN storage technologies; and Solaris

operating system. Any suitable combination of education, training, or

experience

is acceptable. May telecommute from home.
