Position Description
Responsible for the successful implementation of SAP modules and processes within the Order Fulfillment Core Process. Accountable for all project life cycle phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into functional specifications forany associated Reporting, Data Conversion, Integration, Enhancements and Process design needs. Provide detailed functional knowledge throughout the development process and maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied at Medtronic.
Position Responsibilities
- Assume primary responsibility for the successful implementation and configuration of SAP processes within the Order Fulfillment Core Process focused on warehouse management, inventory management, distribution controls, and logistics operations. This may include any of the following areas of expertise (will train right candidate): - WMS storage type / section strategies - Batch determination - Output determination - Shipping/packing (packaged goods operation) - Replenishment - Physical inventory - Shipping point and route determination and freight optimization - SAP R/3 Global Trade Services (GTS) integration - SAP IM/WMS - SAP Production Planning (PP) integration - SAP IM/WMS - SAP Sales & Distribution integration - SAP IM/WMS SAP Advanced Planner & Optimizer (APO) integration - Configuration and support of RF SAP Console and customized development and support of RF transactions - Design and support of distribution controls and processes around Import, Export, and Regulatory Licensing - Assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the SAP processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals. - Lead multiple project team members throughout the systems development life cycle, including project definition, requirements gathering, design, development, test, release and delivery for SAP implementations. - Manage issues associated with project interdependence, resource allocation and management, financial issues and change management across the program portfolio. - Market and communicate program vision to project teams, key business stakeholders, and executive leadership. Ensure continued business sponsorship, engagement and commitment. - Observe and evaluate industry trends and benchmark operations against industry standards. - Establish appropriate relationships at all levels within the organization to influence and execute strategy/operations. - Establish, interpret, execute and recommend modifications to policies. Ensure governance, compliance, and regulatory processes are followed. - Partner with deployment leadership to communicate areas of change
Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelor's degree OR 8 years of work experience in lieu of a 4 year degree OR a combination of work and education to equal a 4 year degree YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Knowledge of Application Strategic Framework and their capabilities. Strong functional knowledge in the following area: Supply Chain Management Comprehensive understanding of complex software and information technology solutions and ability to apply to client needs. Understanding of system development methodologies. Large systems implementation experience. Deep functional and configuration expertise in one or more SAP modules listed below:
SD GTS MM APO LE BW QM JOB EXPERIENCE 9+ years of IT or related experience with B.A or B.S.; 7+ years of IT orrelated experience with M.A. or M.S. Experience in the development and support of integrated business applications and systems architecture. Experience in business process definition, requirements definition and technology solution research. Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions.
