RSA’s Information and Event Management business unit (IEMG) produces the enVision product for security and information event management (SIEM), independently validated by Gartner and others as the leading product in the marketplace. RSA also recently announced that over 1000 customers have deployed enVision, making it one of the most widely used SIEM solutions. Summary As a member of the IEMG Content Engineering team, contribute to the creation and improvement of security and compliance content for the enVision product line. This position will report to Manager of the Analytics Team as part of overall Content Development team for enVision. Responsibilities * Design and implement reports, correlation rules, watchlists, analytical views, and other enVision content. * Research device messages corresponding to event source files to support Analytics Team efforts. * Perform vulnerability research and industry response assessment * Work to model security and compliance events in a lab environment and create associated enVision rules and reports. * Work with others in the Engineering team on the design, development, and support of IEMG products. Required Skills and Experience * 2-3+ years of information security experience, including security operations, incident response, forensic investigations or other related aspects of security and network operations. * Theoretical and operational knowledge of at least two of the following areas:
* Networking technologies. * Firewall, VPN, authentication, intrusion detection, malware detection, and vulnerability assessment technologies. * UNIX and Windows operating systems. * Databases, SQL, and data modeling.
* Experience with Perl and/or other scripting languages. * Solid understanding of networking protocols. * Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and detail oriented. Desired Skills and Experience * Experience with SIEM, Log Management technologies or other security related products. * CISSP, CISA, GIAC or other security-specific certifications. * Experience with IT compliance standards and frameworks such as PCI, SOX, ISO (17799/27000), GLBA, FISMA. Educational Requirements * B.S. or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
