The Experiences team is in search of a senior, highly technical software engineer. As the Principal Software Engineer, your responsibilities include day-to-day software engineering, product architecture, and technical strategy.
The team is building a large scale, distributed computing platform using a variety of techniques based on service-oriented architectures and web services.
This system includes massive, large scale databases spanning multiple databases and web services that house customer and partner data, business intelligence capture/analysis capabilities used to personalize customer portal experience, and connections to the many Microsoft internal business applications that will provide customers with highly relevant value-added information regarding product roadmaps, marketing events, sales promotions, license management, access to software plus services, and support incident status to name a few.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experience developer who is passionate about building enterprise and Internet scale platform and application services. The ideal candidate should have experience delivering on daily software engineering best practices such as source control, building and testing software, debugging, issue tracking / bug management, and code reviews.
Requirements include: - Ability to develop multiple complex applications that make up end-to-end solutions - Able to design solutions that incorporate quality attributes, meet business requirements, and technology requirements. - Ensures code meets or exceeds established quality goals - Ensures that time and resource estimates are accurate - Clarifies requirements and influences the business decisions that lead the right solutions - Creates technical roadmaps that enable the required business capabilities
