Your Opportunity Informatica is looking for a professional Senior Technical Writer to: . Write highly technical documentation (including conceptual, task-based and reference documentation). . Edit documentation for completeness, style and accuracy to ensure it conforms to Informatica's standards. . Research documentation requirements by reading functional and design specifications, installing, configuring and using the product, and interviewing developers.

You are open to change, have the agility to consistently adapt to new circumstances, and learn quickly when facing new problems or challenges. You listen and act on feedback and gain insight from mistakes.
Your Responsibilities The primary deliverable in this position is high quality technical documentation covering all aspects of the product according to the agreed timescales of the product release cycle. Other duties are to: . Keep up-to-date with latest developments in technical writing. . Work effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and experience at all times. . Liaise with software developers and development leads to learn and understand new product functionality. . Liaise with support personnel and product management to improve the overall quality and usability of the product documentation. . Contribute to the development and enhancement of personal and team capabilities and overall process.
Your Qualifications . At least 3 years software technical writing experience . Bachelor's degree, preferable in Computer Science, English, Technical Writing (or equivalent professional and/or academic training) . Experience with Mainframes and Mainframe databases . Experience with DITA, Web Works Publisher, Eclipse, Compiled HTML and WinHelp . Experience with version control/change management products and procedures . Exposure to Unix/Linux platform is desirable . Ability to research unfamiliar platforms and databases independently . Knowledge of SQL . Knowledge of one or more scripting languages is desirable . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Excellent analytical/problem solving skills . Ability to quickly understand complex technical information . Ability to meet deadlines . Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervisory input . Good team worker . Flexibility in working hours to achieve tasks by given deadlines . Understand the customer's requirements and incorporate them into the documentation . Attention to detail, accuracy and overall quality . Both written and verbal fluency in the English language to native speaker standard
