POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Print Production Coordinator will directly support the Quality Manager and report to the Senior Manager for Proposal Development, playing an integral role in the success of the Proposal Team at Blackboard. Specifically s/he will be responsible for the following:
* Work with Quality Manager and other key proposal development team points of contact to facilitate the production and delivery of educational, commercial, government and international proposal responses for solicited and unsolicited RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. * Manage several proposals simultaneously in a relatively high volume, short turnaround environment, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to spec. * Ensure all draft materials are present, in the proper order and are ready for final print production, shipping and delivery to clients. * Gain sufficient level of Blackboard organizational and product feature, function, and positioning knowledge to assist with the general review of proposal responses as it relates to document finalization. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience
Required Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree desired – with preference given to Business degrees emphasizing operations and to English/Technical Writing degrees emphasizing writing. * Minimum 2 years experience production coordination experience and/or project management experience having worked with multiple groups/internal/external groups among all levels of an organization. * Minimum 2 years experience with MS Word, Adobe PDF file and Excel to include: * Familiarity with compare and merge functionality * Familiarity with styles and mid-to-high level formatting techniques * Editing Word drafts for format, appearance, and consistency with corporate styles and editing Excel spreadsheets for printing and PDF * Familiarity with sales process and working with fast paced sales organizations. * Ability to multi-task and work under limited supervision with tight deadlines. * Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, strong organizational skills, excellent time management skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills; must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Self starter with ability to learn products independently, reach out for information proactively, and work with all levels of the organization in a collaborative team environment to effectively facilitate projects. * Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and provide regular status reports.
Preferred Skills:
* Prefer experience working in a proposal development environment for commercial RFPs. * Microsoft Word Office Specialist certificate (or willingness to obtain one). * Technical Writing and/or Editing certificate. * Project management experience and/or certificate. * Experience working in a cross-matrixed organization with remote team members and international stakeholders.
