Must have experience developing manufacturing plans based on conceptual designs and requirements, manufacturing scheduling (FAMSCO), proposal development, and the creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE's). Ability to communicate (verbal and written) within the manufacturing team and to deliver program status to customers and LM Senior Leadership. Experience as a technical specialist in the area of manufacturing project execution, manufacturing planning, tooling, producibility (DFM / DFA), composites fabrication and assembly (bonded and mechanical), manufacturing systems, manufacturing methods, and a strong background in assembly techniques for various materials and processes. Must have a thorough understanding of managing performance using an Earned Value Management Systems. The selected individual must be suited to work in a developmental environment, where flexibility and adaptability are necessary. Lastly, must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and a general understanding of MS Project, Milestones, Relevant, Project View, and Cost View. Desired skills Manufacturing supervision and/or manager experience, proficiency in MS Project, and knowledge of our MRP process, including procurement. Specific Job Description Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead for manufacturing activities related to the development and execution of cutting-edge technology in an advanced aircraft system. From a technical standpoint, individual will assess project requirements and develop plans to meet quality, productivity, and customer objectives. Primary responsibilities are to develop the overall manufacturing plan, including solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness; especially related to affordability. He or she will represent the manufacturing organization on the proposal team; responsible to author the manufacturing section, including cost estimates. This includes, but not limited to, basis of estimates, manufacturing plans, manufacturing schedules, facility plans, tooling plans, and resource allocations. Individual will oversee the transition from proposal to project execution; responsible for quality, cost, and schedule performance. In summary, this IPT will oversee and manage all manufacturing activities of the program and serve as liaison between project management and Production Operations management from development, through integration and test, and final delivery to the customer.
