JOB DESCRIPTION: Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Product Component Manager/Process Engineer at its facility located at 15000 N. Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. The Product Component Manager/Process Engineer will be responsible for automotive chassis control sensors from product award through launch. S/he will analyze and document the required product features based on customer and system requirements. S/he will develop and complete test plans. S/he will be responsible for product vehicle packaging together with the customer. S/he will be responsible for the completion of internal and customer drawings. S/he will ensure that the required development timing is met. S/he will be responsible for the delivery of material cost improvements. S/he will be responsible for the definition of Bill of Material (BOM). S/he will lead the Design for Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (DFMEA) reviews. S/he will coordinate with our lead development team in Germany and with various manufacturing sites. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that processes are efficient, functional, and conform to corporate standards for the entire department. S/he will independently lead cross-functional teams to successfully pass quality audits. S/he will define and implement new processes. S/he will improve existing processes. S/he will be responsible for the consolidation of departmental project status metrics for management review. S/he will incorporate lessons learned into process documentation to prevent recurrence. S/he will implement processes and lead continuous process improvements. S/he will execute departmental quality audits. S/he will generate data driven management metrics.
REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of professional experience in the position offered, engineering, in an engineering research position, with automotive product development, or in a closely related field. In addition, the applicant must have academic and/or professional experience with: (i) implementing processes and leading continuous process improvements; (ii) executing departmental quality audits; and (iii) generating data driven management metrics.
