JOB DESCRIPTION: The Product Content Specialist is responsible to drive, maintain, and manage product content while simultaneously providing appropriate access to the content as needed by various departments and customers. Product Content includes marketing text, technical specifications, regulatory data, and all digital assets including images, brochures, and other supporting materials. * Manage and administer Product Content Management (PCM) system as a central repository of data to support Baldor catalogs, Baldor website, ABB Product Information System (PIS) and customer catalogs. * Liaison between customer?s product data requests, Information Services, and product managers to ensure customers? requirements are met. * Administer and provide content in common industry formats and data exchanges (PTDA-PPIF, IDEA-IDW). * Update and manage product content on externally hosted catalogs on industry specific search engines (GlobalSpec, ThomasNet). * Coordinate with Product Marketing, Engineering and Information Services to develop and define strategies and workflow to ensure required product content is captured and loaded into PCM system. * Work with product marketing to define product tree/hierarchy and assignment of products to hierarchy in PCM system and ABB PIS system.
EDUCATION: Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Baldor product knowledge is preferred. * Customer focused, effectively communicating (written and verbal) to internal and external audiences. * Solid negotiation, teamwork and problem solving skills. * Experience with SAP Master Data Management (MDM) system and knowledge of database concepts or data modeling experience is a plus. * Competency in Microsoft Office product suite with advanced knowledge of data applications such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access required. * Candidate must be able to work with minimal direction throughout all levels of the organization. * Extreme attention to detail.
